Attorney Wang Chu’s practice focuses on international and major corporate commercial dispute resolution. She serves numerous Fortune 500 companies, as well as large state-owned and private enterprises. The types of cases she handles include, but are not limited to, Sino-foreign joint ventures, international trade, cross-border recognition and enforcement, cross-border unfair competition, equity transfers, corporate control rights, and financial products, with the total claim amount of cases reaching billions of RMB. She is also responsible for the research and development of international dispute resolution and corporate dispute resolution practices at Hongqiao Zhenghan. Attorney Wang holds a Master’s degree in Corporate Law from the University of Cambridge (UK) and an LL.M. from the George Washington University (USA). She is qualified to practice law in both China and New York State, USA.

Represented a trust company in the bankruptcy reorganization case of a real estate company, with the amount involved exceeding 4.5 billion RMB.

Represented a shareholder of a BVI company in filing a BVI shareholder derivative lawsuit within China, seeking the dissolution of its Chinese subsidiary, with the assets involved exceeding 3 billion RMB.

Represented a renowned Chinese real estate enterprise in a real estate cooperative development agreement dispute, with the amount involved exceeding 3 billion RMB.

Represented a Chinese enterprise in a series of corporate control disputes with a well-known German listed company, with the amount involved exceeding 2.5 billion RMB.

Represented a Chinese listed company in a dispute over corporate control and damages to company interests with its joint venture partner, a Dutch company, with the amount involved exceeding 1.5 billion RMB.

Represented an asset management company in a dispute over the transfer of insurance company equity with a state-owned enterprise, with the amount involved approximately 1 billion RMB.

Represented a provincial state-owned enterprise in providing comprehensive legal services for the overall disposal project of a cultural tourism real estate asset, with the amount involved exceeding 1 billion RMB.

Represented an international trust company in the bankruptcy liquidation case of an industrial investment company, with the amount involved reaching 570 million RMB.

Represented an American company in handling a tort liability dispute case arising from maliciously filed intellectual property litigation. This is the first publicly documented case in which a Chinese court has recognized U.S. intellectual property litigation as constituting malicious litigation.

Represented a fund company in an equity repurchase case, with the amount involved exceeding 200 million RMB.
