Recently, the “2025 Chengdu Young Lawyers Talent Training Camp”, hosted by the Chengdu Lawyers Association and organized by the Young Lawyers Work Committee, was successfully held. Lawyer Yao Huiyun, Partner of Shanghai Zhenghan Law Firm, was invited to attend and deliver a special sharing entitled A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words: Litigation Visualization Work Method. A total of 178 outstanding young lawyers from 116 law firms in Chengdu participated in the training.
\nHu Lei, Member of the Party Leadership Group, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Organs and Secretary of the Chengdu Lawyers Industry Party Committee of the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Justice, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. Wang Xiukun, Director of the Lawyers Work Division and Deputy Secretary of the Chengdu Lawyers Industry Party Committee of the Chengdu Municipal Bureau of Justice, attended the closing ceremony and delivered a speech. Wang Fei, Vice President of the Chengdu Lawyers Association, and Yang Shaohua, Deputy Supervisor of the Chengdu Lawyers Association, were also present. Focusing on the professional growth and skill improvement of young lawyers, this training camp gathered many senior industry experts and young legal practitioners, aiming to inject new vitality and wisdom into the future development of Chengdu’s legal profession.
\nDuring the training camp, Lawyer Yao Huiyun explained around “what is litigation visualization”, pointing out that visualization is a more concrete, accurate and profound way of expression than words. Based on her long-term experience in handling large-value and complex commercial cases, Lawyer Yao Huiyun summarized the core functions of visualization into three aspects: first, fact sorting, presenting complex legal relationships in a highly intuitive manner through litigation visualization methods; second, analysis and argumentation, comparing the legal logic of different paths and quickly locking in the optimal strategy through visualization; third, communication and persuasion, facilitating efficient decision-making through charts such as comparison graphs.
\nIn terms of the principles for effective visualization, Lawyer Yao Huiyun summarized three points based on practical experience: first, globalization, covering the core elements of the case, such as the timeline of a lease contract dispute, marking the signing of the contract, breach of contract acts, and \u50ac\u544a nodes without omitting key links; second, minimalism, with one chart focusing on only one key point, presenting content by category and discarding redundant text; third, user-centricity, not causing trouble to the audience, avoiding ambiguous expressions and large paragraphs of text, customizing charts according to needs as judges focus on legal elements and clients prioritize commercial impacts. The young lawyers participating in the training all stated that Lawyer Yao’s sharing broadened their case-handling thinking and provided new perspectives and tools for improving the quality of legal services.
\nThe “2025 Chengdu Young Lawyers Talent Training Camp” was grand in scale and rigorously organized. The curriculum covered multiple dimensions including legal practice, professional literacy and industry trends, with well-known lawyers, scholars and industry experts from all over the country invited to give lectures. Through various forms such as special lectures, case seminars and moot courts, a high-standard learning and exchange platform was built for young lawyers.
