Attorney Xiao’s primary practice focuses on civil and commercial matters, particularly in the resolution of major commercial disputes in the areas of contracts, corporate law, finance, and insurance. He has handled a significant number of litigation cases, including those at the Supreme People’s Court and various intermediate and higher-level courts, as well as arbitration cases adjudicated by institutions such as the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, Guangzhou Arbitration Commission, Shanghai Arbitration Commission, and Shanghai International Arbitration Centre, with a total claim amount exceeding tens of billions of RMB. He has provided litigation, arbitration, and enforcement services to numerous well-known domestic and international enterprises in disputes involving commercial contracts, real estate development, equity and corporate control, torts, real estate, and trade secret infringement, among others. In many second-instance or retrial cases he has handled, favorable reversals were achieved after multiple rounds of proceedings. Through his casework, he has established strong mutual trust with adjudicators and has received high praise from clients.

Attorney Xiao has previously served as a dispute resolution advisor for large state-owned enterprises, has been appointed as a lecturer for commercial dispute litigation practice courses at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and Fudan University, and has been invited on multiple occasions to provide legal training for entities such as the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Guangdong Province and its provincial enterprises.

Represented a natural person and a resource company in a retrial case regarding a service contract dispute with a company. Achieved a favorable reversal in the retrial judgment at the Supreme People's Court. This case was selected as a Supreme People's Court Gazette case, serving as a model with significant demonstrative effect nationwide.

Represented a well-known shipbuilding group company in a series of sales contract dispute cases with a corporate group, involving multiple entities both domestically and internationally. Litigation was initiated separately at a High People's Court and an Intermediate People's Court, with the total disputed amount exceeding 1 billion RMB. Favorable and legally effective judgments were obtained in all cases, successfully recovering losses for the client.

Represented a real estate enterprise in handling an equity transfer dispute involving multiple parties, including a natural person, a BVI company, and another real estate enterprise. The disputed transaction amount was 3.2 billion RMB, resulting in a favorable arbitral award. This case was the one with the highest disputed amount at the arbitration institution for that year.

Represented a Taiwanese enterprise in a land development dispute with a local government. The first instance was heard at a High People's Court, with the dispute amount exceeding 100 million RMB. The Supreme People's Court remanded the case for retrial in the second instance, ultimately securing a favorable judgment for the client, followed by full enforcement and recovery of the awarded amount.

Represented a state-owned enterprise group in a series of defendant cases involving land property damage disputes with the opposing party at a High People's Court. The dispute amount was 500 million RMB, resulting in a successful and favorable judgment.

Represented an asset management company in an insurance contract dispute at a High People's Court, successfully securing full claim payments and overdue interest compensation for the client, totaling over 120 million RMB. This case is representative and the largest in amount among similar and batch cases nationwide.

Represented a financial asset exchange joint-stock company in a series of financial product restructurings with a real estate enterprise. By designing a series of transaction structures and integrating arbitration proceedings, the restructuring was successfully achieved. The project involved an amount of 3.3 billion RMB.

Represented a trust company in an accounts receivable transfer and repurchase dispute with a limited liability company, resulting in a favorable judgment. The dispute amount exceeded 1 billion RMB.

Represented a fund company in an equity repurchase dispute with a real estate development enterprise, with the dispute amount exceeding 600 million RMB. A favorable arbitral award was obtained at the Shanghai Arbitration Commission.

Represented a state-owned enterprise in a bulk trade dispute at an Intermediate People's Court, with the dispute amount exceeding 100 million RMB. Successfully obtained a favorable judgment and completed enforcement.

Represented a liquor industry group company in a construction project contract dispute with its partner, with the dispute amount exceeding 80 million RMB. A favorable arbitral award was obtained at the Shanghai Arbitration Commission.

Represented a Fortune 500 company in a lease contract dispute, filed a counterclaim on behalf of the client, and achieved a comprehensive victory, resulting in the dismissal of all claims made by the opposing party in the original lawsuit. The dispute amount exceeded 50 million RMB.
